Heat Shrinkable Sleeves (HSS)

A heat-shrink sleeve (HSS) is also known as a heat-shrinkable sleeve or a shrink sleeve.

HSS are the most widely-used field joint coating for field girth-weld corrosion protection because they are easy to install, provide protection and are cost-effective.

Installation can be as simple as wire-brushing the steel, applying a primer and heat shrinking the sleeve on to the joint with a gas torch.
